Multiplayer ship positions desynchronize and cargo trails detach
Local follow-up committed as b676420a. Shared rock collision shapes and shader defaults remove repeated construction work; snapshot, mineral and flight-history processing also cost less. Server authority, exact rock holes, loot conservation and pickup behavior are preserved. In the retained twelve-client release test with 150 ms added RTT and 2% loss, cold rock creation peaked at 2.39 ms and later creation at 0.84 ms, below the 4 ms slice. All thirteen processes completed. Collision parity, mining, replication and history checks pass. Freeze recovery remains 1.7 seconds. Busy active-simulation frame p99 remains approximately 15–20 ms, so the 16.7 ms target is still open. A snapshot pacing experiment failed to improve it and was removed. Representative hardware checks and Internet group playtesting remain required. Nothing pushed or deployed.

Multiplayer ship positions desynchronize and cargo trails detach: In progress to Ready for testing, summary updated.
Multiplayer ship positions desynchronize and cargo trails detach: summary updated. [MCP] Mike explicitly approved posting the reviewed BUG-1 draft. Update the summary with the verified local results and remaining frame-budget concern; preserve the current status.
Multiplayer ship positions desynchronize and cargo trails detach: summary updated. [MCP] Protocol 42 repair batch committed locally as d4df412d, following 0fea4504 and fc0ab153. Updated measured outcomes and remaining release gates; status remains in progress. No push or deployment.
Multiplayer ship positions desynchronize and cargo trails detach: summary updated. [MCP] Mike explicitly approved posting the implementation results and remaining release blockers to Flight Operations. Local commits: 0fea4504 and fc0ab153. Keep the item in progress at its existing highest priority; local evidence is not release acceptance.
Multiplayer ship positions desynchronize and cargo trails detach: Ready for testing to In progress, summary updated. [MCP] Mike explicitly made multiplayer performance a priority and authorized the concrete repair queue with 'Do it.' Reopening engineering work; prior local sync checks do not establish current release readiness. Local implementation and verification are underway; no push, build publication, deployment or shipped acceptance.
Multiplayer ship positions desynchronize and cargo trails detach: In progress to Ready for testing.
Multiplayer ship positions desynchronize and cargo trails detach: In progress to In progress. [MCP] Owner-requested backlog prioritization from playtester discussions. Keep first: incorrect positions undermine every combat, cargo and social playtest. This is acceptance of existing repairs, not authorization to reopen resolved matchmaking incidents.
Multiplayer ship positions desynchronize and cargo trails detach: In progress to In progress. [MCP] Implemented the requested Coldboot/addon integration locally: verified export manifest and container labels, unique testing versions, candidate isolation, real exported-client join probe, activation, exact release+protocol matching, retirement and reverified rollback. The added release-aware admission handshake requires protocol 17, superseding the initial protocol-16 repair. Current paired artifacts: 17.133. Validation: 26 Coldboot tests, Next build/lint, Godot publisher/provisioning/health/version/snapshot tests, latency/loss motion, and an actual exported Windows client joining a local dedicated server; wrong expected release rejected. Coldboot needs a one-time code deployment and the editor's existing admin token before using Upload, verify & activate testing build. No cloud image upload, live activation/retirement, Steam publication or live database mutation performed. Remains In Progress pending the original live two-player acceptance.
Multiplayer ship positions desynchronize and cargo trails detach: In progress to In progress. [MCP] Owner explicitly requested a protocol bump to prevent mixed testing versions and clarified there are testing servers only, not production servers. Bumped Session.PROTOCOL to 16 and aligned the displayed version to 16.126 while preserving the existing build counter. Protocol-16 snapshots require server timestamps; protocol mismatch admission is already rejected. Export-version and matchmaking compatibility tests passed. Export/deploy matching Windows and Linux artifacts and map protocol 16 to the updated testing image/version; do not map it to the old image. No deployment or routing change has been performed.
Multiplayer ship positions desynchronize and cargo trails detach: Awaiting review to In progress. [MCP] Owner explicitly requested adding this website work item and marking it In Progress. Published BUG-1 with the reported symptoms, local fixes, completed tests, related validation tasks, and remaining deployment/live acceptance. Local tests are not live acceptance.
